Population statistics from the UK censuses
Find statistics about the UK population including data on housing, health, migration and the labour market. We provide access to data for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales from the 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021/2022 UK censuses.
Following a recent review, we have determined that the current published version of metadata dictionary for the 1981 Census tabulation data could be further improved. To avoid confusion, we have temporarily unstocked the 1981 data from this platform. We will update again once the 1981 data is re-published.
