Maps
Our website uses online maps. Where there is a map, the information being displayed is provided in an alternative format on the same web page. For example, on the ‘Geography Coverage’ map there will always be a corresponding entry in the ‘Geographical Coverage Location’ element on the same page.
Disproportionate burden
The header contains the UKDS logo that is held inside a 'a' tag therefore the hgroup tag it all resides in lacks a header tag or 'p' tag. This section of code is connected to main functionality of CKAN and therefore it is disproportionate burden to go and change all that code for a single tag. This means we do not meet WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships, 2.4.1 (Bypass blocks) and 2.4.6 (Headings and labels).
We will bring this to the attention of the CKAN developers.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We have implemented fixes and changes to make the site more accessible and will be taking any problems or suggestions users may have to improve our accessibility further and then act upon them.
