Scotland's Census 2022 - UV408 - Number of bedrooms

This dataset provides Census 2022 estimates for number of bedrooms in the unit of occupied households in Scotland.

Bedrooms, number of

The number of bedrooms in a household. The definition of bedrooms includes any room built or converted for use as a bedroom.

The information is collected from Household question 9: How many bedrooms are available for use only by this household. Include all rooms built or converted for use as bedrooms.

This information is used to help central and local government assess changes in overcrowding. It provides data to help identify households in unsuitable accommodation, to tackle deprivation, develop appropriate housing policies, plan future housing provision and allocate resources.
